The Obama administration has embraced the use of drones – the pilotless aircraft – as the most efficient means of targeting terrorists, without going to war in any country.

During the administration of President George W. Bush, 50 drone strikes were carried out. During President Obama’s first term in office, there were 400 drone strikes, making these remote-controlled assassinations a permanent part of national policy.
